Axelle Stiefel

weaves connections across organizations, navigating within and beyond cultural infrastructures. Her research addresses impermanence through the lens of a textile metaphorology, tiding together diverse media. She extends her practice to concept development, design, and consultancy.

She is a founding member of several collaborative initiatives, including the editorial project artist network theory; the collective calling the operator; and vorstellen.network, a performative platform for artist’s exchange.

Recently, she served as an embedded artist and co-curator alongside the group Annexe for the Swiss Pavilion at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale. She is currently contributing artistic expertise to CHUV’s PENbank project, supporting the development of mediation processes that foster a shift in the perception of doctors’ work and lives.
